Love is Patient

As women, we have a certain time frame to fall in love, get married, and start a family. Some of us see our rugs rolling out a bit differently. Nevertheless, we have a plan. That is not to say that men don’t. Often times their focus is slightly different. We start at a young age searching for love. We look for love at every turn. We pray for love. We, at times, attempt to force love. On our quest for love we often lose ourselves. We get so wrapped up in having someone to love that we forget that we need love in return.

Our vision is blurred by the words of imagined affection to the point that we do not see the faulty actions. As soon as we close our eyes, our other senses are heightened. In other words, when we stop looking, what we need is right in front of us. In the midst of our search, we are not completely sure of what we are searching for.

Once it is revealed to us, we realize that it was worth the wait. Having the patience to wait for the love that we deserve allows our love to exceed and surpass all expectations. A patient love is better than a quick lust.
